Greetings to the entire Gems community! At this moment I share with you my enthusiasm for new bonds of life.

¡Saludos para toda la comunidad Gems! En este momento comparto con ustedes, mi entusiasmo por nuevos lazos de vida.

Friendship is a hard treasure to find, yet some of us have been able to find and cultivate it. Certainly affections are involved, giving way to the value we place on it; sometimes they can be as light-dark "or" as a rainbow. Thus allowing us to intertwine different realities, until they become closer and freer.

La amistad es un tesoro difícil de encontrar, sin embargo, algunos de nosotros la ha podido hallar y cultivar. Ciertamente los afectos se involucran, dándole paso al valor que le otorguemos, unas veces pueden ser claroscuro “o” como un arcoíris. Permitiéndonos así entrelazar distintas realidades, hasta hacerse más cercana y en libertad.

Now, this bond of coexistence and love, arises two months ago when I constantly observe the flight of canaries, parakeets and sparrows that posed near my window; by chance, I live in a high apartment floor, so these new friends were resting but if I approached them, they would leave. However, at my husband's suggestion, we decided to put rice in daily, sugar water and guess what happened? The flights to our window became more intense!

Ahora bien, este lazo de convivencia y amor, surge hace dos meses al observar de manera constante el vuelo de canarios, periquitos y gorriones que posaban cerca de mi ventana; por ventura, vivo en un piso alto de apartamento, por lo que estos nuevos amigos descansaban pero sí me acercaba se iban. Sin embargo, por sugerencia de mi esposo decidimos ponerle arroz diariamente, agua con azúcar y adivinen qué ocurrió ¡Se intensificaron más los vuelos hacia nuestra ventanilla!

On one occasion I witnessed six of them fighting for food and the smallest Leader (a canary) was caught in the curtain. I could hardly help him, but the others left instantly, yet I could see his frightened but defiant eyes, so I said to him as I released him You are Free Leader! Yes Fly and be free! However, every day he kept coming back to eat.

En una oportunidad presencie como peleaban seis de ellos, por la comida y el más pequeño Líder (un canario), quedó atrapado en la cortina. A duras pena pude ayudarlo, pero los demás se fueron al instante, aun así pude ver sus ojos asustados pero desafiantes, por lo que le dije al soltarlo ¡Eres Libre Líder! Sí ¡Vuela y se Libre! No obstante, todos los días siguió viniendo a comer.

It's worth saying, that according to their behavior we started to name them. The dark ones are aggressive and the smaller chubby one, is even more aggressive than the others; for this reason, the name of Leader, we call Catire to another canary, this one is more reserved. He eats alone first thing in the morning and leaves, whereas Glutton (the sparrow) comes only 10am in the morning, and the boys are more risky and behave like curious children.

Es meritorio decir, que de acuerdo a su comportamiento comenzamos a colocarles nombres. Los oscuros son agresivos y el gordito más pequeño, es aún más agresivo que los otros; por ello, el nombre de Líder, llamamos Catire a otro canario, éste es más reservado. Come solo a primera horas de la mañana y se va, en cambio Glotón (el gorrión) viene solo 10am en la mañana, y los muchachos son más arriesgado y se comportan como niños curiosos.

Sometimes in the afternoon, Catire comes but in pairs and both take turns eating while the other watches. However, Leader comes both in the morning and in the afternoon, our special time being 5:30 as he sings to me, this is how our hearts in bonds of friendship and trust grow for the joy of my soul.

Algunas veces en la tarde, Catire viene pero en pareja y ambos se turnan para comer mientras el otro vigila. Sin embargo, Líder viene tanto en la mañana como en la tarde, siendo nuestra hora especial 5:30 pues me canta, es así como nuestros corazones en lazos de amistad y confianza crecen para el regocijo de mi alma.
