Feliz lunes needleworkers 馃槉 al fin estoy instalada en mi nueva casa, si bien me mude hace dos semanas reci茅n ahora tengo casi todo ordenado, y digo casi por que queda muchas cajas que no desempaque pero que met铆 abajo de mi cama y mi mesa de costura jaja, entonces no estorban al paso, as铆 que puedo volver a mis proyectos de costura que tenia a medio hacer, antes de mudarme hab铆a dejado cosas empezadas que cre铆 que terminar铆a antes de irme, pero no sucedi贸, as铆 que la semana pasada me puse a terminar con esas cosas.
Happy Monday needleworkers 馃槉 I'm finally settled into my new house. Even though I moved in two weeks ago, I've only just now got almost everything organized. I say almost because there are still a lot of boxes that I didn't unpack but that I put under my bed and my sewing table haha, so they don't get in the way, so I can get back to my sewing projects that I had half done. Before moving, I had left some things started that I thought I would finish before I left, but that didn't happen, so last week I set about finishing those things.
Una de ellas es mi nuevo top verde, es dif铆cil que el color de esta tela no salga feo en fotos, es incre铆ble lo complicado que es, pero conf铆en en mi es un tono de verde muy lindo, es como un verde militar pero un poco mas vivo, estoy utilizando la tela de morley que compre creo que hace dos veranos, el top anterior que hice con esta tela ya esta muy estropeado as铆 que era hora de renovarlo.
One of them is my new green top, it's hard for the color of this fabric not to come out ugly in photos, it's incredible how complicated it is, but trust me, it's a very pretty shade of green, it's like a military green but a little more vivid, I'm using the morley fabric that I bought I think two summers ago, the previous top I made with this fabric is already very damaged so it was time to renew it.
Use mi molde preferido, de hecho, eso es lo que dice el patr贸n jajajaja, tengo que ordenar mejor mis moldes, pero por ahora se quedara as铆, para que no sea igual que el anterior tome una decisi贸n nueva en este top, en la parte de adelante va a tener un corte, que dejara ver un poco de escote, esto puede salir muy mal o muy bien, pero peque帽o spoiler sali贸 decente jajaja, no fue como quer铆a, pero reconozco que podr铆a haber salido mucho peor.
I used my favorite pattern, in fact, that's what the pattern says hahaha, I have to organize my patterns better, but for now it will stay like this, so that it is not the same as the previous one, I made a new decision for this top, in the front it will have a cut, which will show a bit of cleavage, this can turn out very badly or very well, but a small spoiler, it came out decent hahaha, it was not how I wanted, but I recognize that it could have come out much worse.
Lo que hice fue hacer un corte en la parte del frente, separando esa pieza en dos, con costura decorativa hice un mini ruedo con hilo a contra tono, pero a la hora de definir esto hab铆a quedado muy grande, en si se separaba de m谩s por el mismo peso de la tela, no hab铆a considerado eso, pero todo error es una forma de aprender, funcionaria mejor si fuera un top corto a la cintura, pero yo los uso a la altura de la 1er cadera.
What I did was make a cut in the front, separating that piece in two, with decorative stitching I made a mini hem with counter-tone thread, but when it came time to define this it had become too big, in itself it separated too much due to the weight of the fabric, I had not considered that, but every mistake is a way to learn, it would work better if it were a short top at the waist, but I wear them at the height of the 1st hip.

La abertura no quedo tan prolija como me hubiera gustado, pero no esta mal, puesto se ve bastante bien, pero la ropa debe verse atractiva en el perchero tambi茅n, tendr茅 que mejorar eso para la pr贸xima, voy a seguir haciendo pruebas con esto mas adelante.
The opening wasn't as neat as I would have liked, but it's not bad, it looks pretty good when put on, but the clothes should look attractive on the rack too, I'll have to improve that for next time, I'll continue testing this later.
El resto de las costuras no fue un problema, cos铆 los hombros y los costados con overlook, la tela estira much铆simo, as铆 que es super necesario coserlo de esta manera, pero por suerte esto nunca es un problema, en cuanto a las terminaciones hubo cosas que tengo que mejorar.
The rest of the seams were not a problem, I sewed the shoulders and sides with overlook, the fabric stretches a lot, so it is super necessary to sew it this way, but luckily this is never a problem, as for the finishes there were things that I have to improve.
Para terminar cuello, sisas y el ruedo decid铆 hacer tiras y colocarlas con una costura primero en overlook, pero si la tira es muy fina que fue mi caso hace falta pisarlo, tengo que comprarme la aguja doble, esta en mi lista para la pr贸xima que haga compras, pero esta vez me conven铆a hacerle costura decorativa a todo, para que combine con las costuras de la abertura, adem谩s de tambi茅n seguir la l贸gica del hilo a contra tono.
To finish the neck, armholes and hem I decided to make strips and place them with an overlook stitch first, but if the strip is very thin, which was my case, you need to press it down. I have to buy the double needle. It's on my list for the next time I go shopping, but this time it was a good idea to do decorative stitching on everything, so that it matches the seams of the opening, as well as following the logic of the counter-tone thread.
Las tiras est谩n justas, en las mangas use unas bastante cortas por que necesitaba achica esa abertura, ya tenia probado este patr贸n, pero esta tela estira diferente que mi morley anterior, creo que eso se debe a la composici贸n de cada tela, pero pude solucionar todo lo que se presento.
The straps are just right, on the sleeves I used some that were quite short because I needed to reduce that opening, I had already tried this pattern, but this fabric stretches differently than my previous morley, I think that is due to the composition of each fabric, but I was able to solve everything that came up.
Mi nuevo top esta listo para usar.
