Hola needleworkers :3 feliz lunes y buen inicio de semana para todos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, yo estoy contenta porque cada vez falta menos para el feriado jajaja en Argentina tenemos algunos cuantos al año y justo estamos próximos a uno bastante largo que nos da unos días corridos de descanso, es el feriado por semana santa, es decir pascua así que no solo comeré chocolate, sino que tendré unos días libres ¿esto existe en sus países? Siempre quise saber cómo funciona esto en otros lados.

Estoy trabajando en algunas cosas que tengo ganas de hacer hace rato, en una de mis tantas bolsas con telas y proyectos hay una particular que está llena de ropa vieja para reciclar, toda esta ropa cumplió su ciclo como prenda, pero no llego a su fin, así que me propuse empezar a crear proyectos con ellas. Empecé reciclando unos cuantos jeans, muchos de estos los tengo por qué use sus partes en proyectos de la facultad y ahora toca utilizar el resto.

I'm working on some things that I've been wanting to do for a while, in one of my many bags with fabrics and projects there is a particular one that is full of old clothes to recycle, all of these clothes completed their cycle as garments, but they haven't reached their end , so I decided to start creating projects with them. I started recycling a few jeans, I have many of these because I used their parts in college projects and now it's time to use the rest.

Tengo 3 jeans, uno azul oscuro, uno más claro y otro en color negro, como verán solo quedan las partes de arriba ya que las piernas se utilizaron en otras cosas, así que esta parte del proceso es más complicada ya que hay que desarmar el jean descosiendo para aprovechar todas las partes restantes lo más que se pueda.

I have 3 jeans, one dark blue, one lighter and one black, as you will see only the top parts remain since the legs were used in other things, so this part of the process is more complicated since you have to disassemble the jean unstitching to take advantage of all the remaining parts as much as possible.

Saque los bolsillos traseros ya que es bastante fácil utilizar esto, y también empecé desarmando las cinturas, es la parte más difícil ya que tiene muchas costuras, estos ejercicios me ayudan mucho a entender el armado de prendas, pero desde el desarme, así que simplemente me senté con un programa de fondo y a descoser.

I took out the back pockets since it is quite easy to use this, and I also started by disassembling the waistbands, it is the most difficult part since it has many seams, these exercises help me a lot to understand the assembly of garments, but from the disassembly, so simply I sat down with a program in the background and unstitched.

También aproveché a guardar los cierres que fui sacando, como están en buen estado van a ir a mi cajita de avíos para ser utilizados en caso de ser necesario, siempre tenemos algo que necesita un recambio de cierre.

I also took the opportunity to save the closures that I took out, as they are in good condition they will go to my gear box to be used if necessary, we always have something that needs a closure replacement.

Del primer jean saque algunas partes, pero queda bastante por desarmar, me tome el trabajo de cortar bien las partes y lo que no se use en este proyecto se usara en otro proyecto de relleno, tengo ganas de hacer algunos almohadones decorativos y regalarlos.

From the first jean I took out some parts, but there is a lot left to disassemble, I took the trouble to cut the parts well and what is not used in this project will be used in another filling project, I want to make some decorative pillows and give them as gifts.

También fui planchando un poco las partes que iba quitando de los jeans, ya que algunas están muy marcadas por las costuras así que requieren de bastante plancha, por suerte la plancha a vapor ayuda mucho con esto.

I also ironed a little the parts that I was removing from the jeans, since some are very marked by the seams so they require a lot of ironing, luckily the steam iron helps a lot with this.

La idea con este proyecto es hacer un canasto pequeño para poner la ropa sucia de mi cuarto, a veces la tiro al suelo y no quiero un canasto gigante que ocupe espacio, sino algo más pequeño que pueda tener siempre a mano, la medida referencia que tomé es este balde pequeño, pero aún no sé si será circular o cuadrado ya que el circulo me obliga a coser y cortar material, creo que el cuadrado es más eficiente, ya que no tiene desperdicio.

The idea with this project is to make a small basket to put the dirty clothes in my room, sometimes I throw them on the floor and I don't want a giant basket that takes up space, but something smaller that I can always have on hand, the reference size is I took this small bucket, but I still don't know if it will be circular or square since the circle forces me to sew and cut material, I think the square is more efficient, since it has no waste.

En cuanto al forro del canasto quiero que sea de otras telas recicladas de mis entregas, muchas veces utilizo telas para entregas que no tienen un uso así que simplemente voy a revisar más mis bolsas de tela para aprovechar material.

As for the lining of the basket, I want it to be made from other recycled fabrics from my deliveries. Many times I use fabrics for deliveries that have no use, so I am simply going to check my fabric bags more to take advantage of material.

Empecé a coser algunos de los cuadrados y rectángulos entre sí, pero queda bastante por descoser, cortar y coser, para que el proyecto esté listo, estoy tomándome esto con calma por ahora, pero quiero hacer muchos más proyectos reciclados y así poder utilizar el material que vengo acumulando en casa, tengo varias ideas más que quiero hacer, pero debo ponerme a trabajar en ello.

I started to sew some of the squares and rectangles together, but there is still a lot of unstitching, cutting and sewing left to do before the project is ready. I'm taking this easy for now, but I want to do many more recycled projects so I can use the material. that I have been accumulating at home, I have several more ideas that I want to do, but I have to get to work on it.
