Welcome back to my blog Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit one of the inland areas of Aceh province which is far from the capital city of Banda Aceh. I am very impressed with one village where they still use an old bridge to connect one village to another. Or you could say this is a suspension bridge with a popular name in its past. This bridge does have its own architecture where the sides are like being hung by steel ropes as supports at the end of each bridge pole. I think in this modern era it is very difficult for us to find a bridge like this. Indeed, it seems that this bridge is still very sturdy, but I doubt that when it is already twilight, it will definitely lose its charisma one day. This bridge is like the pulse of the village community where they pass every day, either going to school or delivering vegetables to the market. This is a portrait of life that must be borne by the shoulders of the bridge every day. In the evening, we can see children running while singing on the back of the bridge. In the following, I will capture a portrait of a bridge as a support for the life of the village community who somehow will survive this old age.
I captured this moment in the Indrapuri area, Aceh Besar District, Indonesia.
