LPUD Just Keeps Getting Better!

It’s that day of the month again. On the 15th of every month is Leo Power Up Day (LPUD) on the Hive blockchain. LPUD is the day that the lions in the Leoverse show their commitment and support for the ecosystem by powering up (staking) as much Leo token as possible.

For the lions below the 20k Leo Power mark, participants are eligible to win some attractive prizes, prizes that will make the Leo journey more rewarding through boosting the growth of their account. A detailed post on the rules and what are the actual prizes to be won can be found here.

The Journey So Far

Since its beginning on the 15th of June this year, the Leo team has constantly innovated to make the day not just fun and exciting but also memorable. Just a few months ago, LPUD badges were launched via hivebuzz. Powering up 150 Leo or more on LPUD will make one an owner of this badge. And rumors have it that this badge will evolve to be more than ‘just a badge’.

I think LPUD is a crucial piece in the social side puzzle of Leofinance and will soon be a day that all lions in the Leoverse will be looking forward to because powering Leo tokens will be the tip of the iceberg or the entry point to the rabbit hole.

The Latest Add On

Every LPUD edition has its own theme. The theme of the 6th edition is Slay The Dragon! Yeap, dragons are roaming in the jungle but they are about to become extinct.

Here’s how to slay a dragon;

Powering up a minimum of 2000 Leo to 4,999 Leo will make you an elite dragon slayer.
Powering up a minimum of 5000 or more Leo will make you an elder dragon slayer.

Powering up these amounts of Leo tokens will magically grant you a sword that will be thrust on the guts of these dragons and if you’re feeling fierce, it will cut through their throats. It’s all about slaying the dragon!

Nothing goes unrewarded, so as a thank you for slaying a dragon. You can win some attractive prizes;

Slaying an Elite Dragon; 4,000 Leo power delegation for 25 days.
Slaying an Elder Dragon; 10,000 Leo power delegation for 25 days.

That’s the prizes you can win for now. But in the sooniverse, a rare and limited edition of NFTs will be released based on this event and every dragon slayer will own one.
