Over the past couple of months, there have been a lot of investment scams. The popularity of digital assets has become a blessing to some and a curse to others.
About 6 months ago I was a near victim of one of such scams. I was promised a 20% ROI every month for as long as I wanted. The investment went smoothly for a month, I got my ROI, but in the second month, I needed all my money back and they decided to make a new policy out of thin air.
This is exactly how every one of these investment schemes works. They start with seemingly plausible returns and then when you least expect it, they change their minds about the returns and then your capital and the returns disappear.
I wrote about one of such investment schemes that crashed at my state of residence over a month ago. I practically begged everyone I knew to get their money out but they didn't listen, they got rekt. I laughed.
This morning, I stumbled on this article about people making bank since Elon Musk's appearance on SNL.
This particular method that's taken by these scammers just seems so dumb. As much as I would love to feel pity for these losers, I think they're on the level of greedy I'm yet to attain. No wonder a lot of people called me wise and not greedy.
According to that article, the most liable ages to fall for such pathetic scams are individuals between ages 20 and 40. This makes sense. My mother in her 60s doesn't own a crypto wallet. If she did, I'm certain she would've fallen flat.
I think scams like these prove that many individuals just get into the industry with absolutely no information. I mean I know I ape into the market a lot but this level of ignorance is unprecedented.
Stay frosty out there everyone. There are now so many Doge related coins. The market looks like a jungle. Never forget to DYOR. Don't get rekt.
