The peak season of fruits in my country.
I'd say, Filipinos are a bit of a copycat but not in the wrong way. Some Filipinos copy other races' cultures especially when they see it for the better in life and living.
So there was a time when some celebrity was a Fengshui believer even if she was not Chinese herself but she believes a lot in it. Stones, charms, and a lot more including fruit preparation in New Year's Eve Celebration. I don't know how far nor how long this belief has spread out already but as far as I know, the locality that I am in just followed the trend after that.
Also, businessmen are in favor of this idea and broadened the idea. They said when you have 13 kinds of fruits on your table on New years eve, you will be lucky throughout the year.
But honestly, I oppose this. I have been around long enough to prove this one; I don't buy fruits on New Year's Eve. In fact, I and my family spend that time in both of our families and we don't have even food prepared at our home.
I say my faith in God who is merciful and mighty. And of course, one would be prosperous when he is hardworking enough.
Last year, I reported for duty in the office on December 31 and I had been accompanied by my co-workers to buy fruits to dine on that lunch.
And since it was a peak season, it is expected that the prices of the fruits had escalated significantly.

Mangosteen
Commonly called as MX3 because of the coffee drink mix that used the pulp. They dry it and ground it and they made it into coffee. They said it has many health benefits.
We call this one Tisa
Clearly, the fruit is harvested days ahead of the ripening, Tisa is best when it ripens from the tree itself.
Fuji Apples

Pears
Oranges
I don't know what his fruit is
Mango
Lemon
Guava
Chico
Grapes
Avocado
Rambutan and Lanzones
In the Philippines, Camiguin Island is the source of the sweetest Lanzones in the country, In fact, some of the fruits are exported and they do have a " Lanzones Festival" Yearly. Well, it was halted because e if Covid of course.
Watermelons
These two ar the owners of this fruit stand and I hope the awful timing will make you laugh, 
Most of the fruits that don't sell go to these fruit salads. It is sold for 10 pesos per cup and the taste is just good for the price. I usually buy fruit salads to eat a variety of fruits in one go
