Being still a child and being so isolated from the world, Thorfinn has no choice but to join Askeladd, his father's murderer, who picks him up on the condition that he collaborates with him in his band of mercenaries. Thorfinn accepts but swears to him that someday he will kill him, and to do so he must earn the right to challenge him in a duel by showing him his bravery in the different battles he will carry out during the Danish campaign in England. He only has one clear objective which is to take revenge on the person who has killed his father, and that does not allow him to see what is happening around him, or how it is affecting him as a person. The story of Makoto Yukimura is going to be nourished by very interesting characters.
