Good day everyone! I'm back again with another Genshin Impact fan art.
Today we have here Venti, who is the Anemo Archon Barbatos.
Update 1.4 is today and we also have the Venti rebanner. I started playing on November with Childe's banner so I didn't have a chance to pull Venti. I kind of hope I could pull him so you could say this drawing as a kind of ritual for me to get him because I have a bad luck. Update: I just pulled Venti and won the 50/50馃槶.
This drawing is almost full body so I find it a bit hard because Genshin clothes are very detailed. Here is the process.
Sketch
In this sketch, you can see that there are circles. It served as a guide to where I'll put the hands and the shoulders. It is also a guide in how big the hands will be.
Line art
The line art is pretty tiring since I haven't made this much details in drawing. You can also see that there are details such as design that is missing because I decided to do it in coloring part.
Base color
Next is the base color so that I have a guide on what color each part is since there are different shades of the clothes' color.
Eyes and Shading
After the base color, I usually do the eyes first. I also put the clothes and cape's details and design. Then I proceeded in putting the shades. "Clipping" and "multiply" were used for the shades.
Lighting
Then I proceeded to do lightings. You can notice that the coloring is simple since I tired myself doing the details in the line art and clothes. I added some glow to venti's hair and vision using "add" effects for layers. The same proccess was done for other lightings.
Background
Lastly is the background in which I just put a rectangle and fill it in with light blue. I also used sakura brush to add texture to the background. Then I copied the whole character and used a layer effect to make it look like a white line art.
That's all for today's art work. I used the Character Archive in the Genshin Impact game for reference. I also forgot to flip the canvas so there are errors in my illustration.
