Yesterday I told you about an extraordinary Venezuelan musician, Gonzalo Grau and at the end of the post I mentioned that he had his own very particular #challenge. It's about musical fragments that he produces for you to improvise and show your talents in Latin rhythms.
It is an extraordinary collection that I decided I was going to follow. So today I bring you the first piece. This was intended as a presentation for percussionists, as it is not built on the regular chords, but is an overlapping of notes, which makes the melodic intonation more difficult. However, I liked it very much and I thought it was excellent for a presentation.
It is a composition by Grau himself and the lyrics, of course, were written by me as an introduction. I hope you enjoy it!
Ayer les hablé sobre un extraordinario músico venezolano, Gonzalo Grau y al final del post les comenté que él tenía su propio y muy particular #challenge. Se trata de fragmentos musicales que él produce para que uno improvise y muestre sus talentos en los ritmos latinos.
Se trata de una colección extraordinaria que yo decidí que iba a seguir. Así que hoy traigo la primera pieza. Esta fue pensada como una presentación para percusionistas, pues no está elaborada sobre los acordes regulares, sino se trata de una superposición de notas, que hace más difícil la entonación melódica. Sin embargo, a mí me gustó mucho y me pareció que era excelente para uno hacer su presentación.
Es una composición del propio Grau y la letra, por supuesto, la hice yo a modo de introducción. ¡Espero la disfruten!
