Try Everything - Shakira (Cover) by @yisusth

A warm greeting to the Music community. I have the pleasure of sharing my trumpet performance of "Try Everything", a song that mixes electronic pop and dance, composed by Sia, Stargate, and Tor Erik Hermansen and performed by Shakira for the soundtrack of the animated film Zootopia (2016). The lyrics talk about not giving up, we can make mistakes, but it is part of our growth, falling and getting up while walking in a world full of prejudice. The melody is dynamic, fluid, and optimistic, with a medium vocal register and an ascending melodic contour. The rhythm is in 4/4 time with a fast tempo. The rhythmic base is syncopated with a marked electronic drum beat, which includes snaps and clapping to enhance the groove. The original key is probably C Major, in my case I play it in D Major. I remember that a while ago I saw this movie with some nephews and I really liked its message of overcoming.

Un cordial saludo a la comunidad de #Music. Tengo el placer de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Try Everything», una canción que mezcla pop electrónico y dance compuesta por Sia, Stargate y Tor Erik Hermansen e interpretada por Shakira para la banda sonora de la película animada Zootopia (2016). La letra habla de no rendirse, podemos equivocarnos, pero es parte de nuestro crecimiento, caer y levantarse mientras se camina en un mundo lleno de prejuicios. La melodía es dinámica, fluida y optimista, con un registro vocal intermedio y un contorno melódico ascendente. El ritmo está dentro de un compás 4/4 con un tempo rápido. La base rítmica es sincopada con un beat de batería electrónica marcado, que incluye snaps y palmas para realzar el groove. La tonalidad original probablemente sea C Mayor, en mi caso la interpreto en D Mayor. Recuerdo que hace un tiempo vi esta película con unos sobrinos y me gustó mucho su mensaje de superación.

After a difficult week, a new one begins with the expectation that it will be better and with great blessings. Last weekend, I had the opportunity to spend time at a camp with the youth of the Church. It was a wonderful activity, where we connected with nature, got away from technology and our daily routines. I had the chance to give a talk on the wise use of technology. Technology is a great blessing because it makes our lives easier and allows us to connect with other people; however, it has its challenges, and in excess, it can distract us from the most important things. Surely you've experienced being at a family gathering and everyone is busy on their electronic devices and not paying attention to those speaking to them. When things are taken to the extreme, it can become addictive and cause anxiety and depression. The important thing is to have a balance in life and use technology wisely. My experiences with active breaks from my phone and computer are wonderful, and they have made me less dependent on technology.

Después de una semana difícil, comienza una nueva con la expectativa de que será mejor y con grandes bendiciones. El fin de semana tuve la oportunidad de compartir en un campamento con la juventud de la Iglesia. Fue una actividad maravillosa, donde nos conectamos con la naturaleza, nos alejamos de la tecnología y la rutina diaria. Tuve la oportunidad de dar una charla sobre el uso sabio de la tecnología. La tecnología es una gran bendición porque nos facilita la vida, y nos permite conectarnos con otras personas; sin embargo, tiene sus retos y en exceso puede desenfocarnos de las cosas más importantes. Seguramente les pasará que están en una reunión familiar y todos están ocupados en sus dispositivos electrónicos y no están prestando atención a quienes les hablan. Cuando las cosas se llevan al extremo, puede ser una adicción y causar ansiedad y depresión. Lo importante es tener un equilibrio en la vida, y usar la tecnología sabiamente. Mis experiencias con pausas activas del teléfono y la computadora son maravillosas, y me han hecho menos dependiente de la tecnología.
