Imagine de John Lennon (Cover) [ENG/SPA]

Saludos a toda la comunidad de música, les comparto mi interpretación de Imagine, compuesto por John Lennon y escrito por Yoko Ono y Lennon. Este es una balada del género soft rock que considero un himno para la paz. La canción nos habla de imaginar un mundo sin fronteras, sin envidias, y unidos por la paz, una hermandad de la humanidad. Sueño con un mundo mejor, donde no tenga que revisar las redes sociales y ver como hombres, mujeres y niños mueren.

Greetings to the entire music community, I share with you my interpretation of Imagine, composed by John Lennon and written by Yoko Ono and Lennon. This is a ballad of the soft rock genre that I consider a hymn for peace. The song tells us about imagining a world without borders, without envy, and united by peace, a brotherhood of humanity. I dream of a better world, where I don't have to check social media and watchmen, women, and children die.

Ojalá la humanidad pueda elevarse por encima de todo y pueda superar esas fronteras que nos dividen. Yo, al igual que la canción, soy un soñador y sé que no soy el único. Pienso que todos podemos ir a esta cruzada por la paz. No podemos ser indiferentes ante los actos de crueldad que ocurren en nuestro mundo y a nuestro alrededor. Me sucedió en una oportunidad que estaba en la Universidad y venía de pasantías. Cuando vi que un joven lo estaban robando, y pasé como si nada. Mi frustración fue que en el momento no pude hacer nada. El Joven se me acerco y me dijo: ¿Por qué no hiciste nada? Y yo le dije: Bueno, él estaba armado, y yo no tengo nada para defenderme. Muchas cosas están fuera de nuestro alcance, pero en otras podemos actuar. Hay decisiones en que podemos influir positivamente, y hacer de nuestro mundo algo mejor.

Hopefully, humanity can rise above everything and can overcome those borders that divide us. I, like the song, am a dreamer and I know I'm not the only one. I think we can all go on this crusade for peace. We cannot be indifferent to the acts of cruelty that occur in our world and around us. It happened to me on one occasion when I was at the university and came from an internship. When I saw that a young man was being robbed, I passed as if nothing had happened. My frustration was that at the time I couldn't do anything. The young man approached me and said: Why didn't you do anything? And I told him: Well, he was armed, and I have nothing to defend myself with. Many things are out of our hands, but in others, we can act. There are decisions that we can positively influence, and make our world better.
