It is a mistake for people to concentrate on "secret conspiracies" as there are more than enough publicly accessable conspiracies to debate. For example political parties, lobbyists, NGOs, corporations, and think tanks are all open to scrutiny. They provide more than enough fodder for debate.

All of these organizations have insiders and outsiders. Insiders tend to communicate with each other in private. The are secrets, but there is usually enough open info to debate. It is best to debate the open info. It is hard to discuss secret things as secret things can be denied and dismissed.

BTW one interesting aspect of conspiracy theories is that people in power like to promote wild conspiracies as it is easier to dismiss wild conspiracies than plausible ones.
