Skill produces creates wealth. Personally I believe skill is far more important than certification.

Certificates are more of an intangible asset. They have some marketing and investment value. Companies can advertise that the certificates received by employees and it is easier to attract investors when employees have certificates.

Personally, I think people should seek to develop skills before seeking certification.
