A "risk free" return usually means externalizing the risk onto another aspect of society.
For example, savings and loans were offering high interest on savings. It turns out that they were making extremely risky loans and externalizing the risk on the public via the government back FLSIC (Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Company).
Financial calamities like Enron, Lehman Brothers, Mortgage Backed Securities, Credit Default Swaps, etc. all involved complex structures that gave a preferred group "risk free high return" investments. All attempts to create high return earnings.
Attempts to create high return risk free investments tend to economic failures because they create artificial faults in an economy.
Note the Laws of Economics Do Not Apply to HBD
BTW, @taskmaster4450 tells us repeatedly that the laws of economics do not apply to HIVE because HIVE is something special.
