HBD has a peg to the US Dollar.

The peg works as follows: If you launch the convert command, the system will "convert" your HBD to a dollar worth of HIVE after 3.5 days. The conversion is based on the average price of HIVE over the conversion period.

The conversion is only a good deal when the price of HBD is less than a dollar.

You can trade your HBD for HIVE on the internal market. I use the internal market when the price of HBD is > 95% as the transactions are instantaneous.

HBD in and of itself is boring.

The system currently pays 20% interest on HBD put in savings. To do this you go to your wallet, click on the link for your HBD and select the transfer to savings option.

I don't know how much longer HIVE can continue to pay 20% interest.

NOTE: It takes 3 days to remove HBD from savings.

Lets say you removed your HBD from Savings and the price of HBD was low. You would want to convert it to HIVE. The savings system can potentially tie up your money for 7.5 days.

The HBD peg works quite well. The scary thing with HBD is that the HBD system will invoke a "haircut" if the market value of HBD exceeds 30% of the market value of HIVE.

The HBD monitor on Ausbit shows that ratio is just about 7%. A big drop in the price of HIVE could trigger the haircut.

So, if we saw a big drop in the price of HIVE, we would see people yanking their HBD and converting it to HIVE.

I looked at your wallet. I am happy to see that you've been powering up your HIVE.

You might want to spend more time examining your Hive Engine Account.

If you staked your HE coins, then you would receive more upvote rewards.
