All coins will eventually devalue to their melt value.

I like the US Quarters minted before 1964. The ones after that are a combination of copper and nickel that is currently worth about $0.06. according to coinflation.com

Pre-1982 pennies and nickels are better investments.

I've also been collecting PIZZA ... although some people think pizza will go bad after a few years.
