Great article,

you can earn Leo token by using #liotes on threads.

Is there a list somewhere of all the keywords that trigger LEO? I would love to have quality information about the best way to earn the different tokens.

Find the Right Tribe before Blogging

BTW: There are numerous HIVE Tribes.

It seems to me that the best way to excel on HIVE is for users to blog on the tribal site that best fits their content.

LEO is one of the best tribes on the platform. However, I understand that LEO seeks to focus on cryptocurrency and investing. I've heard that some users in the past got downvoted for spamming LEO with irrelevant posts.

I don't know if this is still the case.

Regardless. I target each of my posts for a HIVE tribe. Some tribes like CreativeCoin and STEMgeeks seem to focus on specific topics. There are some tribes like Neoxian City and ProofOfBrain that appear to be open to general content.

Of course many users seem to include every tribal tag in every post.

Whales seem to post whereever they want whales will win any downvote war that results from tagspam.

Earning LEO by Curation

As for earning LEO, it is good to know the basic interest formula for LEO curation rewards.

The smallest payout for LEO is 0.001. I have 435 LEO. LEO says that my upvote is worth 0.015 LEO.

One needs to have about 30 LEO to have an upvote worth 0.001 . Half the award goes to the author and half to the curator.

One needs to have 60 LEO to have a 0.002 LEO upvote. So, 60 LEO should be a blogger's first goal.

I have not invested heavily in LEO as I tend to write general content.

The different tribes use the same basic formula. Before blogging one should pay attention to the different curation rewards to assure that they have enough tokens to deliver the rewards.
