The $31 trillion debt is money that the government has already spent.
The really scary figure is the unfunded liabilities which is at $171 trillion.
Our government is depending on inflation as it is the only way out. If prices collapse then the government will be in complete crisis as they cannot pay their unfunded liabilities.
