I want the people who are active on the platform to get the HIVE rewards. Author's, curators and programmers are all active.
The HBD investment is a pure passive play.
20% HBD interest makes HBD the premiere coin of the realm.
I suspect that most of the interest on HBD will be converted into HIVE. This means that the HBD interest will be taken from the creators on the platform.
So, we are giving a huge amount of money that was destined to active creators to passive HBD holders.
Since HIVE guarantees the HBD interest with HIVE, passive HBD interest will eventually come from the HIVE rewards.
I thought you would be interested in the fact that just 8 accounts are receiving 50% of the HBD interest. This is even worse than the distribution of interest from the Federal Reserve.
The Relation Between HIVE and HBD is Weird
Authors and curators actually receive interest in VESTS. The algorithm gives part of the rewards as HBD and part as HIVE POWER. Most of this HBD gets converted into HIVE. This isn't really a problem because the two coins started as VESTS.
Because the system disrupts this flow, it negatively effects the flow of rewards to the creators and curators.
Since interest compounds this problem will get worse over time.
HBD v HIVE Engine
I pointed out early that the high interest disrupted the flow of resources into HIVE-Engine. The result is that the coins on HE dropped substantially faster than the market at large.
The high interest on HBD is already reducing the earnings of active players on the platform.
