Personally, I think the HBD interest should be zero. HBD derives its value from HIVE. HBD is a derivative and derivatives are dangerous.

It appears to me that the interest on HBD has been pushing down the value of HIVE and all of the coins on #hive-engine since we raised the interest rate to 20%. 15% and 12% are still too high.

The conversion functions and HBD stabilization funds are sufficient to maintain the dollar peg.
