Steem had a cyrpto visionary with connections to deep pockets. This visionary, named Justin Sun, turned out to be a nightmare.

I think that HIVE-Engine is the most likely source of the killer app that brings HIVE mainstream. This is why I am so infuriated with the 20% interest on HBD because it is undermining HIVE-Engine.

The witnesses are hoping that 20% interest would attract another Justin Sun. A better approach would be to promote HIVE Engine.

The main problem with HIVE-Engine is that it has poor documentation. Even worse, the interface is written in Python and Node.js. It is unlikely that serious organizations would bother with either the Node.JS or Python interface.
