굉장히 짧은 글인데 왜 이리 이해가 어려웠는지 모르겠습니다.

일단 제가 이해한 내용을 아래에 기술하도록 하겠습니다.
혹시라도 틀린 부분이 있으면 말씀해 주시기 바랍니다.

This is a quick note presenting my suggestion for the better incentive structure of Steem. A core idea is introducing masternode-like staking incentives that provide both liquidity and profitability to invstors.

보다 나은 "인센티브 구조"를 제안하고 계십니다.
투자자에게 유동성과 이익 모두를 만족시켜줄 수 있는 방식입니다.

위 글들을 참조했는데 아직은 명확하지는 않지만 제가 생각할때는
일정정도의 금액을 넣고 노드로 활용되면서 보상을 얻는 구조로 생각할 수 있습니다.

Current Incentive System, 현재 구조

All SP holders obtain 15% of the total reward
SP holders those who curate additionally earn 18.75% (25% of 75%, vary by vote patterns).
Therefore, they obtain 33.75% in total

스팀 파워를 가지고 있는 사람들이 그냥 스팀 파워를
가지고만 있어도 보상을 받는다는 사실은 오늘 처음 알았습니다.

결국 보상 100% 중에서 10%는 증인들에게,
15%는 전체 스팀 파워 소유자에게 골고루 ... 이는 약간 이자 느낌이 나네요.
18.75%는 큐레이팅을 한 사람에게,
나머지 56.25%는 저자에게 가는 구조입니다.

단점으로 지적하시는 부분을 하나씩 살펴보겠습니다.

Significant proportion of reward for SP investors is given to Steemit (currently about 25%)

상당 부분의 보상이 Steemit에게 주어진다 ...
증인 10%와 스팀 파워 소유자에게 제공되는 15%를 의미하는 것으로 보입니다.

Investors are forced to curate, or they will have much less financial benefits. This brings about poor-quality curation, or even voting bots that merely spend voting power to any contents.

투자자는 "큐레이팅"을 강요받는다 ...
큐레이팅을 하지 않았을때 경제적 이익이 적다 ...
이로 인해서 마구잡이 묻지마 큐레이팅이 발생하도록 만든다는 것입니다.
저 역시 엄청 공감하는 내용입니다.

Investors who hold STEEM for liquidity also have disadvantages.

유동성이 떨어집니다.
파워 다운에 13주이니 다시 스팀으로 바꾸는 작업이 오래걸리는 단점이 있지요.

Consequently, two extreme results. Investors (who don't want to actively participate to Steem community) easily become lazy curators and distort our contents discovery system. Or passive investors give up to invest in STEEM due to much disadvantages.

결국 2개의 극단적인 결과를 가져옵니다.
하나는 스팀잇에 전혀 관심없는 단순 투자자는 lazy 큐레이터가 되고
컨텐츠 검색 시스템을 왜곡시킨다.
둘은 소극적인 투자자들로 하여금 스팀에 대한 투자를 꺼리게 만든다.

Suggested Incentive System, 제안된 구조

No SP rewards

SP 소유자에 대한 보상을 없앱니다.

Curation rewards is about 20% of total rewards (33% of total contents rewards, 70%)

큐레이션 보상은 20%가 됩니다.
전체 보상 70%의 33%라고 하셨는데 ...
그림 상으로는 60% 같은데 ... 큐레이팅 1/3, 저자 2/3 구조 같습니다.

Saving is re-branded as like Staking

Staking이라는 이름으로 Saving을 바꾼다 ...

Minimum staking unit exists, similar to masternodes. If the number is 5000, staking 4999 STEEM does not provide any portion of rewards. In the same vein, staking 9999 STEEM provides same rewards as staking 5000 STEEM

보상을 받을 수 있는 계단구조를 제안하시는 듯 합니다.

최소 staking 단위를 만들어서 그것이 만약 5000이라면
staking 4999 스팀까지는 어떠한 보상도 받지 못하고
같은 맥락으로 staking 9999 스팀은 staking 5000 스팀과 같은 보상을 받는다.

Some moderate delays (e.g. 3 days) to un-staking, same as saving balance

staking된 금액을 찾아가려면 3일의 시간이 걸립니다.
현재의 saving balance와 같은 것이죠

이점을 살펴보겠습니다.

Investors have more rewards than now without doing meaningless vote

투자자들은 의미없는 보팅 없이도 더 많은 보상을 얻을 수 있습니다.

There will be more demands for STEEM to fill the minimum unit of staking

최소 staking 단위를 채워야 하기 때문에 더 많은 스팀의 수요가 생깁니다.

Investors also have greater liquidity

투자자들은 보다 나은 유동성이 생깁니다.
13주 보다는 3일이 훨씬 낫겠죠

Dedicated curators will have more influence and contents discovery system will works better

무의미한 보팅이 줄어들면, 큐레이팅을 하는 사람들은 보다 좋은 영향을 미칠수 있고
결국 우리의 "contents discovery system"은 보다 좋아지게 됩니다.

Overall, this modification is expected to raise STEEM price, then make staking more attractive, then again increase STEEM price; virtuous circle

결국 이러한 수정으로 스팀 가격은 올라가고
그로인해서 스팀 staking은 더 매력적으로 바뀌게 되고
이로인해서 스팀 가격이 더 올라가는 "선순환"을 이루게 됩니다.

완벽한 제도는 아니겠지만 일단 이렇게 바꾸어서
점차적으로 보다 완벽한 제도로 향해 가는 것이 맞겠지요.
