What is Hormones?
Hormones are chemical substances produced in small quantities by the cells of one part of the body and carried to all parts of the body by blood stream in animals where they produce a response.
Once a hormone is released into the blood,it is carried by the blood plasma to the required organ called TARGET ORGAN.
Once the effects of hormones are over, they are destroyed by the liver and excreted from body by the kidney.
