Thanks to @plushzilla, who inspired me to make a post about it, I’d like to tell you some things about polish architecture, more specific in Warsaw, the capitol :)
Here are some of my photos, that I took today and my drawing:
The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about architecture in my city is diversity. There are a lot of new buildings, with glass facades like the one on my drawing, standing next to old, more classical ones. Unfortunately, there’s not many examples left of those old buildings from before the Second World War because Warsaw was almost entirely destroyed during the Uprising in 1944. However, we still have some great examples of modernist architecture, which is, I think, not appreciated enough.
