I like to cook while watching a light series, a movie, a decoration program or a cooking recipe, of course from one of our favorite Hivers, and for that I use a tablet that nobody else uses in my house and I can leave in the kitchen without any problem. I'm sure you know which one I mean, it has a lining with a keyboard and to have it like that in the kitchen it takes up a lot of space, it's very annoying.

Today's project is about the elaboration or DIY of a Tablet Stand, which will allow me to have it comfortably in any space or corner of the kitchen, and the position is vertical enough to be able to see it well. I can even follow a recipe and work perfectly.

Me gusta cocinar mientras veo una serie ligera, una película, programa de decoración o una receta de cocina, por supuesto de alguna de nuestras Hivers preferidas, y para ello uso una tablet que más nadie utiliza en mi casa y puedo dejar en la cocina sin problema. Seguro saben a cual me refiero, ella tiene un forro con teclado y para tenerla así en la cocina ocupa mucho espacio, es muy molesta.

El proyecto de hoy es sobre la elaboración o DIY de una Base para Tablet, lo que me permitirá tenerla cómodamente en cualquier espacio o esquina de la cocina, y la posición es bastante vertical para poderla ver bien. Incluso puedo seguir una receta y trabajar perfectamente.

It gives me great satisfaction to be able to make with my own hands something that makes my day to day life easier and makes me feel comfortable in my favorite place, which is my home.

Los invito a ver este DIY, con infografía y el paso a paso detalladamente. Este tipo de proyectos es de mis preferidos porque:

• Es proyecto muy fácil y rápido
• Resuelve una situación o problema
• Se realiza con material reciclado
• El producto final es bonito y queda bien en el ambiente del hogar
• La plantilla o molde la hice yo misma, para el tamaño de la tablet pero puede ajustarse a cualquier necesidad
• Tiene una función utilitaria y almacenamiento adicional
• Puede replicarse en otro material como MDF
• Puede realizarse para obsequiar
• Es un accesorio que pudiera comercializarse

Me da mucha satisfacción poder hacer con mis propias mano algo que me facilite el día a día y me haga sentir cómodo en mi lugar preferido, que es mi hogar.

Tilt: First with the box where the tablet comes, I marked the tilt I want the base to have, that is the tilt I want the tablet to have for me to be able to see it comfortably, which is quite vertical with a slight tilt.

Width of the Base at its bottom: I marked the width of the base at its bottom, which I estimated a little smaller than the length of the base because I consider that it must have support so that it does not fall forward, it is important that it feels very stable so that the equipment has no risk of damage or injury.

Height: I marked a little higher than the middle of the tablet, as I consider it was not necessary for this base to reach all the way to the top to have good support.

Inclinación: Primero con la caja donde viene la tablet, marqué la inclinación que quiero que tenga la base, es decir la inclinación que quiero que tenga la tablet para yo poder verla cómodamente, la cual es bastante vertical con una ligera inclinación.

Ancho de la Base en su inferior: Marqué el ancho de la base en su parte inferior, el cual estimé un poco más pequeña que el largo de la base porque considero que debe tener soporte para que no se caiga hacia adelante, es importante que se sienta muy estable para que el equipo no tenga riesgo de dañarse o lastimarse.

Altura: Marqué un poco más alta que la mitad de la tablet, ya que considero no era necesario que esta base llegara hasta arriba para tener buen soporte.

Curve: to join the lower base towards its height, I drew a curved line, leaving a space of approximately 5 cms for the thickness of this piece.

Space or hook for the tablet to be inserted : I made this space considering the thickness of the tablet, and left a piece for a stop.

All these measurements were done intuitively, and you will understand it better in the image of the ready-made design. I cut this pattern or template with the cutter, and then cut another one exactly the same, since I will need 2 of these.

Curva: para unir la base inferior hacia su altura, tracé una línea curva, dejando un espacio de aproximadamente 5cms para el grueso de esta pieza.

Espacio o gancho para que se inserte la tablet : Este espacio lo hice considerando el grueso de la tablet, y dejé una pieza para de tope.

Todas estas medidas las hice de manera intuitiva, y lo entenderán mejor en la imagen del diseño ya listo. Este patrón o plantilla la corto con el cuter, y luego corto otra exactamente igual, ya que necesitaré 2 de estas.

This is how the Tablet Stand design turned out. The cardboard from the tablet box I used is rigid enough for this stand.

Así quedó el diseño de la Base para Tablet. El cartón de la caja de la tablet, que utilicé es lo suficientemente rígido para este soporte.

Here you can see how the base looks like, to which I made two slots to place some cardboard strips, which will give it stability.

Aquí pueden ver como se ve la base, a la cual le realicé dos ranuras para colocar unas tiras de cartón, lo que le dará estabilidad.

I lined the four pieces with wrapping paper.

Forré las cuatro piezas con papel de regalo.

I put together the design of the Base for the Tablet, and it feels quite stable, up to here it was going to be, but then I felt that I should take advantage of the space in the back since the two pieces were exposed and I thought to include in the design a box in that space to place the charger, or anything else, even my cell phone could be placed in the box.

Armé el diseño de la Base para la Tablet, y se siente bastante estable, hasta aquí iba a quedar, pero luego sentí que debía aprovechar el espacio de atrás ya que quedaban las dos piezas expuestas y pensé que incluir en el diseño una caja en ese espacio para colocar el cargador, o cualquier otra cosa, incluso hasta mi celular lo podría ubicar en la caja.

With more recycled cardboard I made the pieces for the box, which were a rectangle for the base, two rectangles for two of its sides, and two squares for the other two sides, and the size that would occupy the space in the back. I cut, assembled and lined them, then glued them in place with hot silicone.

Con más cartón reciclado hice las piezas para la caja, que fueron un rectángulo para la base, dos rectángulos para dos de sus lados, y dos cuadrados para los otros dos lados, y el tamaño que ocupara el espacio de atrás. Los corté, armé y forré, luego los pegué en el lugar con silicón caliente.

Here I show you how it looks on my kitchen counter, where I can place it in a corner and see my Hivers recipes, and I can comfortably use the space to work. The tilt is perfect... I love it

Aquí les muestro como se ve en mi mesón de la cocina, donde puedo ubicarla en una esquina y ver mis recetas de las Hivers, y cómodamente puedo utilizar el espacio para trabajar. La inclinación es perfecta... La amo

The tablet is very well anchored in the holder, it does not need to be held by anything else, it feels very stable. I no longer mind the keyboard that comes with the cover, I don't need it because it is tactile and I can use it perfectly in this stand.

La tablet queda muy bien anclada en el soporte, no necesita ser sujetada por ninguna otra cosa, se siente muy estable. Ya no me molesta el teclado que trae con el forro, no lo necesito porque ella es táctil y puedo usarla perfectamente en este soporte.

The box, which at the last minute I decided to incorporate into the design, happens to be ideal for placing the charger, or as I mentioned I could place my cell phone so it doesn't get in the way or anything else.

La caja que a última hora decidí incorporar al diseño, resulta que es ideal para colocar el cargador, o como mencioné podría colocar mi teléfono celular para que no moleste o cualquier otra cosa.

I have been very happy with the final result, as I always tell you the utilitarian projects that solve or improve a situation, are my favorite projects, and I also love to present them as a proposal in my Hive Blog.
