Hello friends of the Freecompliments community! Sorry for the late day but today I bring you a story more than a sport of authentic improvement that touched my heart as soon as I learned about it.
This is the story of Philippe Croizon. This Frenchman, born in March 1994, had a very serious accident when he was changing the television antenna at his house and received a strong electric shock. The accident was so serious that it meant that all of his limbs had to be amputated.
That of course for 99% of the rest of the people would have been the end of his life and a certain path towards depression or perhaps even euthanasia. It was not like that for Philippe, he did not want his life to end there and he did everything possible to have a life of his own. As autonomous as possible.
Philippe found in sports his lifeline and the path to his mental recovery. One of his first challenges was to swim across the Canal de la Mancha. Later he would complete other challenges around the world in this sporting discipline. But not only did he want a challenge in this discipline but he also moved into the world of motorsport where he was able to complete the Dakar rally with a car adapted to his handicap.
This almost 30-year-old athlete is a clear example of improvement and an example for everyone that you only lose when you give up. There are many ways to live life. It won't be easy but it is possible.
