Hello friends of Hive, today is Saturday and it is a special weekend for cycling lovers and tomorrow the Cycling Tour of Spain ends. I have been following almost all the stages carefully but I did not want to make an assessment of the competition itself.

I wanted to reflect on the values of sports and how this edition has exemplified one of them that should be taught to all children in their education. And that value has not been represented by the winner of the race but by a loser, well not exactly a loser.

Remco EVENEPOEL was the winner of last year's edition of La Vuelta and one of the top favorites of this edition. Everything was going well for him in the race until in the first mountain stage he suffered a bad day and lost 27 minutes with the top overall favorites.

What for other athletes would have been a failure and a more than possible abandonment of the race was not the case for Remco. The Belgian cyclist showed courage, determination and, above all, dignity worthy of praise. Showing great respect for himself, the competition and his rivals knew how to recover. Since then, despite not being able to win the general, he has achieved 3 stage victories, the mountain general and several second places. But above all he has shown himself to be the great protagonist of the race because of his fighting spirit.
Remco has taught all of us sports lovers that one should never give up no matter the circumstances.
