Hello friends of the FreeCompliments community, I am going to continue with the series of articles on ideal places to visit. In this case it is the Izu Peninsula. A wonderful place that one day I would like to go to but for now I will settle for transmitting the information that I have collected in my search for places to visit in my life.

Southwest of Tokyo and at the foot of the majestic Mount Fuji, the Izu Peninsula unfolds like a natural treasure, embraced by the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Forming part of the impressive Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, this region is recognized and appreciated by the Japanese, especially by the inhabitants of Tokyo, who find in it an inexhaustible source of beauty.

Given its proximity to the country's bustling capital, the Izu Peninsula has become a top tourist destination. If you are looking to soak in the hot springs, known as "onsen", this area stands out as the prestigious epicenter, home to cities such as Atami, Shuzenji, Shimoda and Ito.

In Atami, for example, you can explore the sacred Izusan-jinja temple and marvel at the MOA Art Museum. Shimoda invites you to discover the charming Ryosen-ji and Choraku-ji temples, the picturesque Shimoda Bay, as well as the peaceful Mount Nesugata-yama Park. Meanwhile, Ito offers you unique experiences at the Atagawa Banana & Crocodile Park, the fascinating Izu Marine Park and the enriching Ikeda Museum.
