This is the nuclear power plant Grafenrheinfeld, Germany

This is the nuclear power plant Grafenrheinfeld near my hometown in Germany.

In 6th grade we had to read a novel in school, titled "Die Wolke" ("The Cloud") which describes a tschernobyl-like disaster in exactly this powerplant, including detailed descriptions of how nearby villages, like mine, are being annihilated due to nuclear fallout. I still vividly remember reading those passages and how shocked I was.
I've since never lost my respect of the powerplant and always regarded it as a slumbering giant.

In 2011, after the nuclear disaster of Fukushima, German government ruled that all 17 nuclear power plants will be shut down until 2022. The power plant Grafenrheinfeld was taken offline in June 2015 for both economical and political reasons.
