Since you tagged me in this post, here's my honest take in this situation. You posted on April 18 and we replied that since we are a travel community, we don't curate posts about malls.

Your reply: "No wonder I didn't receive any encouragement on this post. What a waste of time and transportation."

Honestly, I find the reply rude. It appears to me as if we are obligated to upvote your post because you have taken the time to go to the mall and you must be compensated for your transportation, regardless of our rules. You violated the rule and that's enough not to upvote you. Even if you didn't violate any rule, there's no guarantee that we will upvote your post. No one owes anyone of any upvote. Even if you created the best travel post here, we reserve our right as curators to upvote or not to upvote your post as we deem fit. While we strictly adhere to our rules, we don't owe anyone any curation.

You then posted again in the community last May 8 about a church. It was not curated. Maybe because there are a lot of travel posts in a day and your post wasn't chosen. Simple as that.

Your last post was yesterday about your visit to a local government council. While the post does not violate any rule, for me, it's not worthy to be curated. My number one criterion in choosing a post is how the post is packaged such that I would visit the place. I'll ask you, why should I visit your local government council? What's in there that should pique my interest? Is it worth my time?

We only choose a maximum 20 posts per travel digest out of 80 posts per day. You might have followed all the rules, but if there are other posts that are so much better, your post will definitely not be included in the digest. Look at the Top 3 posts and compare those posts to yours. Learn from those top posts and you'll see.

Again, there's no guarantee of curation. Posting in the community while expecting to be curated will lead to disappointment. There are so many posts that are much better than yours that were not curated, but the authors didn't make a post about it.

So yeah, I should have made this a post instead of a reply. I would have earned something from this.
