In order to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, I went back to my father's hometown. During Eid, I spent my time visiting family and relatives' houses to strengthen ties. Then, one of my relatives invited me to bathe in a river that was booming at the time. The location was quite remote. We had to travel by motorcycle for about 20-30 minutes up the mountain. The road was quite good, but when we almost reached the river location, the road was rocky and unpaved.
As it turned out, after arriving, I had been to this river when I was in middle school with my friends. In the past, this place was still covered by forest, while now the land has been opened for tourist attractions and there are already several houses.
The atmosphere is very beautiful. We can hear the chirping of birds and the flow of river water creating a calm and peaceful sound.
Once we arrived, we didn't wait long to swim. The water was cold and cool. The current, in my opinion, is quite strong, if the children are not properly supervised, they will be swept away.
My cousins enjoyed playing in the river so much, they even rented a float tube even though they could only ride between the rocks because of the strong current.
Going down to the bottom following the river flow, there is a bathing place for adults with a depth of about 2 meters. The current was quite strong, so as soon as I jumped into the water, I was immediately carried away by the river current. Not recommended for those who can't swim.
Most of the children here can already swim, so they really enjoy swimming or riding the floating tires in this river.
We decided to eat after being tired of playing in the water and starving. We brought lunch from home. It was a simple meal of rice, fried chicken and fish with sambal lado, and fried noodles.
My cousin brought his food to where we were bathing.
Visitors were starting to arrive in droves. After finishing eating and swimming, we decided to go home.
