Es la historia de Aria, una joven hija de una prostituta que, tras lograr casarse con un duque, viven en conjunto con su padrastro, hermana y hermano del señor, los cuales debido a su origen no la tratan para nada bien, aunque parecía al principio que sí, todo era una mentira, hasta el día de su muerte ella descubre todo el engaño, sobre todo por parte de su hermanastra Michelle, quien desde el principio la vio como alguien inferior y que debía desaparecer de su vida, hasta tal punto de llevarla a la horca como toda una criminal y ser ejecutada por su hermanastro, al ver ello, Aria pide con todas sus fuerzas tener una segunda oportunidad, poder vengarse de ellos y que su vida fuera diferente, y el destino a través del reloj de arena le da esta oportunidad.
