Hello everyone! Today I'm going to share the Inktober drawing I did earlier.
The prompt for Inktober Day 27 is 'Dumb'
I took more than a day to think about this prompt because I didn't know what to draw. I felt the drawing could have a mean vibe to call someone dumb because everyone probably has done something dumb in their life at some point including myself. I didn't want to draw a situation that might offend someone. I thought of just resorting to draw a dumb pencil, as in a blunt pencil. However that might be too boring.
Then it hit me, I remember a viral SpongeBob SquarePants meme. It's the one with Patrick where he was doing some woodwork. It's perfect for this theme while also being funny and cute. I always felt like I could relate to it when I'm doing something and someone is watching me. It affects my focus and I would mess up. So that's what I drew today.
The one thing I remembered very clearly of the picture is that there was a wooden plank nailed onto Patrick's forehead. It was looking so funny and cute! That's the part I drew first.
Then I drew the rest of his body. He is a star fish by the way. That's why his full name is Patrick Star. His limbs look pink and he has the star shape when he stretches out.
I gave him a hammer for his woodwork. I think this was the episode where SpongeBob adopts a seahorse as his pet and his bestie, Patrick was making a shed for her. I remember him saying to his seahorse that it will only take 8 more hours, probably because Patrick got nothing done. I also drew his shorts pattern that he wears daily. Since they're underwater I guess they didn't need to do any laundry.
I drew the other part of the meme where there were some wooden planks nailed like a little table. There was a saw lodged on it. Now that I noticed, I hope he didn't hammer the saw into the plank.
I drew a few extra details like some seaweed in the background, some stones and sea mushroom.
This is the final outcome. These are all the same drawing but I angled them differently. Can you see Patrick evolving? The more diagonally I angle my phone to capture it, the chunkier Patrick gets!
I guess I found a ride to go to the Krusty Krab for some Krabby Patties. Thank you for dropping by and I wish you a great day!
