actually thats mostly drm and penis envy, insecurity and the need to hog a posware after you paid for it, like those companies who 'rent' out their software ? just like ms wants to own your desktop down to the click, basically streaming windows onto your machine ..?
drm .. if you change hardware the 'unique id' will tell the pos-ware its installed on a different pc
