Something about the curse of having 20 thoughts at once in a head that always refused to be trained into linearity (its one of my regrets that i didnt quit school sooner ... but i dont have many of those ... is offtopic again ofcourse)
But they were right, and maybe its more like 'anyone in power long enough needs their head checked by people they can't control from time to time' because perception tends to get distorted if you're always in the middle of everyone sayings "YES! you're right ! good job ! fabulous", be that hoping for a promotion or simply because 'always positive' has become some kind of norm that would go so far as to leave out the truth or facts in some cases because you don't want to stand out as the nay-sayer and the negative force because 'everything is always good' (lol)
but it's not, right ?
especially on days like that ... I don't think Steemit.inc should be trusted for anything but the fact that they need to make money, in order to survive and keep their IT-genius brains where they are (because if they don't there's always room somewhere else for people with a certain level of skill) and witnesses, much like politicians have a basic flaw : they're human ..:)

The fact that there's a promise of monetary reward has indeed everything turned over and makes it so plenty of people won't speak their mind, and IF they do on occasion, tip-toe around to make sure all the right syllables are in the right place ... like that thing where you count to ten before speaking ... by then you lost the moment and its probably not what you were gonna say anymore so you ignore a part of yourself (that's still there, despite the fact that you twisted the words it said into something else).
The consensus system is certainly one of the better but since we're talking politics here and even if its almost no longer worth the money it's still the power of being on top (even illusionary in a small niche like this ... best thing i read today was a whale stating 'how cheap it is to be a whale on steemit now' (not in those words and probably with the intention of trying to get people to buy , even after the last global crash) which is true because compared to the big Countries and continents on planet Crypton this place is peanuts, and the whole planet , including whale-street, is peanuts compared to the original Wall-street and the morganites (who would be peanuts if you saw them from the moon ofcourse lol)
nonetheless i think most of them WANT to use their votes and decicions as a means to attract a certain crowd they aim at, its all about sales. If Satoshi were dead he probably turned to dust by now from tossing and turning in the grave seeing all that "de-centralized tribalism" as i came to call it since this week (contradictio in terminis? ... my latin is pretty dusty , its been over 30 years ...) but basically that's what it is :
"we want to build and organic community" (opposite)
and are looking for people to help out erecting walls around the niche of our de-centralized tribe to make sure our pure values and views on things do not get infected by strange outsiders and alien factors ..
in short : 'its all about the money' lol so what's new ? its just a mirror of society at macro-level, only with a crowd you couldnt even use as a decent sample for statistics because they're not general enough ... maybe that's why big data hasn't caught on (maybe ... i dont know that but maybe thats why) to this place : you can't get proper data from it and the niche does not have enough influence (= money mostly) to be interesting , and its all about the money again :)
so here we are then, flocking together in the underwater caves where the ripples in the pond don't even reach
what does that make us ?
