voting is more profitable than posting ? ... for high power accounts, im not sure if the curation rewards are linear or not but from all i see if i vote 24/7 at 100/100% with an account with 60SP on both hi-value posts and others without really min-maxing anything it would take 3 to 5 years to get return, if that's linear and that goes for whales too, its pretty much a basic investment ...
ofcourse , this means the price does not change over the course of 3 to 5 years, if the price halves that becomes 6 to 10, if it doubles then that becomes 2 to 4 or 3 ??? and also, does curation reward in steem increase when the dollarprice of steem goes up ? b/c if it does you get more than 2x when the price goes 2x you would get 4x or something (its hard to give exact numbers here its just an observation)
but the powerups coming from liquid supply, not from buying new steem certainly explains why the dollar value of both steem and sbd has not been going up (but down instead for an unfathomable reason that almost feel like sabotage by a rival enterprise who claims not to be their own chain either buying and selling steem in a downward spiral ... if you look at the billions some people on Crypton have that should be like peanuts for them, with no compassion in the marketplace as competitive psychopaths just HAVE TO WIN .. regardles how many ideas they steal, starters they wreck or actual families working in 'the business' its become, all to be #1 ichiban ...
i can't make sense of it atm but this does confirm my suspicion that its just 'old money' lying around, not new money being pumped into it ... that's one thing at least
