After maybe 7-8 consecutuve rainy and windy days, the tide turned around recently.
It's the pick...of the spring! Spring in a full swing.
So today I went to
โ Ponte 25 de Abril,
or The Bridge of April 25, named after the day when about 40 years ago Portugal smoothly transfered to democracy.
Bridge is aka as the second Golden Gate Bridge, after the one in San Francisco. I have been in San Francisco and the real Golden Gate there is much bigger and imposing. Additionally to that there is a pedestrian walk on the bridge what unfortunately this one is lacking.
The bridges are similar ad they were constructed by the same American company.
And on the background you can see the Status of Jesus Christ, built to resemble the bigger twin statue in Rio de Janeiro.
Actually the bridge is huge what you can see here. I will post on Sunday in travelfeed my regular post with some more pics and info, so if you are curious, just stay tuned, and I will do my best to show you cool things๐

My favorite Old part is just next to the bridge. Over the course of the last few days I took plenty of pics, so as I said on Sunday with more details and stories of course๐
