So, today I decided to do a little value study. It may become a series, but I'm not sure yet.
The theme of the art is fashion. As you can see, the flow of the model's clothing has so much to say about that.
Also, I did multiple variants of the background. I was trying to create negative space with them. So, please tell me the modification you prefer.I used sample brushes from Aaron Griffin's brush pack for 2019. If you want the brushes, Click here to get them.
So, I started with a sketch. It was a very rough one because there was no point going into details or inking.
Here, I concentrate more on the shapes and the values. Also, I used the pen tool to create the shapes, then I fill in the colors.
Then I started adding details and more values. I used one of the brushes Sample brush 9 47 to blend in the shapes. I love the texture it created.
I painted the first variant of the background here. I just wanted to create the flow of values from the darker value, down to the lighter value below.
Then, I played with the negative space here. This was my favorite.
