HAPPY NEW WEEK GUYS

This week I will be exploring a lot of African masquerade dark theme, which I tagged MASK QUEUE RAID. I'm fascinated about the art behind the mask used by African masquerade.

In Africa, masquerades are referred to as spirits, If I should spell it out in a better way, I mean "ancestral spirits". I discovered through my research that these spirits are the ones that decides how they want to be represented. it will appear to the man he chooses in a dream, and reveals to him its personality, and what it can do on his/her community’s behalf. The spirit will also shows how it wants to be represented, whether in a mask, it may specify a human form, or beautiful or unattractive, and characteristics that will be consistent with its personality. So, with this information the mask will be made. With time, I will reveal more of this truth or myth, as the case maybe.

THIS IS A WARRIOR SPIRIT. IT'S HERE TO PROTECT THE MOTHER'S THAT ARE BREASTFEEDING
