Many people love rainy season because everywhere is cool and green. But for me it is stressful. The reason is because of my area and my work.
During rainy season, the road to my place becomes very bad. Water everywhere. Sometimes I will step inside mud just to go out. If it rains in the morning, I cannot go to work early because bike men will double their price or they will not even come.
Inside my house, rainy season gives me extra work. Clothes will not dry fast. I will wash clothes today, it will stay 3 days before it dries and it will start smelling. Light also goes off too much when it rains. And mosquitoes, they increase in rainy season. I hate mosquitoes so much.
Another thing is market. If I go to market to buy foodstuff, the market ground is always muddy and slippery.......You have to be careful not to fall.
How do I make it bearabble???? I have learned to plan. I buy foodstuffs in bulk before heavy rain starts so I don't go to market every time. I wash clothes early in the morning and I have small rope inside my parlor where I can spread clothes when rain falls. I also use mosquito net and insecticide. And I always have power bank charged because NEPA can take light anytime.
Even though it is difficult, I still thank God for rain because farmers need it.
