Kotlin has been experiencing strong growth in Android application development since May, after Google announced its official support in Android Studio. This is what the Realm barometer reveals in its latest quarterly report.
For information, Kotlin is an object-oriented and functional programming language, with static typing that allows compiling for the Java virtual machine and JavaScript. It is developed by a team of programmers at JetBrains, the same company that developed the IntelliJ IDEA IDE, on which Android Studio is based.
