Has America Just Started Another War in the Middle East?
Yesterday, Donald Trump ordered the Pentagon to assassinate Iranian General Qassem Suleimani.... and set the world on fire, again.
It makes no difference if the leaders of Iran are "good guys" or "bad guys."
John Quincy Adams warned us not to go abroad "in search of monsters to destroy."

Meanwhile, Rukmini Callimachi, NYT correspondent covering ISIS says:
I’ve had a chance to check in with sources, including two US officials who had intelligence briefings after the strike on Suleimani. Here is what I’ve learned. According to them, the evidence suggesting there was to be an imminent attack on American targets is “razor thin”
Since the strike, Iran has convened its national security chiefs. Chatter intercepted by American intelligence indicates they’re considering a range of options. Cyberattacks, attacks on oil facilities and American personnel and diplomatic outposts have all been cited so far.
How have we learned from the mistakes of the Iraq war and what can we do to avoid, at all costs, a needless conflict where countless innocent civilians could die, once more?
