Selfies are a tricky territory to navigate ... without getting sucked into the quicksands of Vanity. Yet, despite the dangers, I admit that I (compulsively) document my life experiences & the ravages of time — my being and becoming, you could say.
Since they say that a picture is worth a thousand words, here’s a short book worth of selfies —- taken by the pyramids in my mother country, Egypt, at the Festival of Flowers in Colombia, beachside in Florida, with my semi-wild pigeon at home, in traditional Egyptian dress, out in the forest, in zombie mode before a Halloween party, posing with my new book, masked for Covid19, experimenting with facial hair/growing a beard, inhaling cherry blossoms in Washington DC & just general posing, trying to capture the art of living...
I hope you might know me little better through these various snapshots taken across the globe, at different life stages & I look forward to checking out your selfies :)
