"Ambition to Rise in the World"

For a long time, I went about my daily life
without any ambition to improve myself.
It was a laid-back,
pleasant way to live,
but due to various recent events,
I can no longer afford to be so laid-back
and have had to start working.
It’s a pain.
But in order to get the job done,
I’ve started to feel a little bit of that drive to improve.
Still, I’m basically a lazy person
I need to nurture this drive while it’s still there.

「上昇志向」

長い間 上昇志向というものを持てずに
毎日を過ごしていた
それは のんびりして
気持ちの良いものだったが
ここのところの様々な出来事で
のんびりしていられなくなり
仕事をしなければならなくなった
いまいましい
でも仕事を完遂するために
少し上昇志向というものが沸いてきた
でも基本的には怠惰な私
沸いてきたうちに上昇志向を伸ばさなければ
