I think there is not enough competition left in the telecom sector in India. With only 2-3 major companies operating everywhere, we can't expect any reasonably good service and are at their mercy. Unfortunately, situation will go even worse in future as mega partnerships like FB & Jio will probably kill the competition further.

I'm also struggling on my Vodafone atm, if that makes you feel any better:

Most of my mobile apps (including Discord) don't work on Vodafone connection. I've to switch to Jio for that. But since my data allocation for this month has been finished, I'm doing most of my work on Vodafone and it kills a lot of my productivity.

Jio fiber was performing good in initial days but it too became very slower than what they committed.I haven't renewed their plan this month as I want to talk to them in person after this lockdown gets over. But I don't have much hopes anyway.
