it's always interesting to see an idea in many different lights as time passes, most ideas morph into something else

And we don't need to "see it" as a failure, or has we were wrong in the past. Ideas are plastic, and even if we are right today, it doesn't mean that we stay right in the "next week". That is what I value more about in disputes, and debates. A respectful way of exposing our ideas should be always aimed. The different ways that "light" hits the spot, makes it more clear for everyone.
