Good morning, everyone!😀

This week, I decided to take part in this challenge launched by the curator, in which we have to imagine a new form of public transportation!

And since in the previous challenge I mentioned one of my all-time favorite movies, Back to the Future, I’d like to continue drawing inspiration from it.

The new form of public transportation will be called “AeroPods”!

So what is it?

It’s a mode of transportation designed primarily for the busiest cities. And it’s powered by solar energy! A little “crazy,” don’t you think? But I’ll elaborate on the idea a bit more.

There’s an elevated structure that supports the “pods” and is covered by a special canopy that captures solar radiation and channels it to a local storage network along the route.

In this structure, a cable is used to move the “pods,” somewhat similar to what is found at ski resorts.

The photovoltaic panels on the roof serve a dual purpose: they protect the units from the harshest weather conditions, such as intense sunlight or rain, and they also collect solar energy.

The cabins, or pods, are small, completely self-contained structures equipped with a low-consumption electric motor and built from very lightweight yet durable materials (such as carbon fiber or aluminum, or a combination of the two).

There are landing platforms or access points along this structure that allow people to enter or exit the cabins; these may be located at the tops of the tallest buildings, but also at ground level in major commercial areas, facilitating access for users with severe physical disabilities.

Each cabin would also be equipped with a small battery, which would allow it to maneuver and provide power on cloudier days, or on days when there is a higher demand for energy that the grid cannot sustain.

This mode of transportation would primarily operate at low speeds, as this is the only way the technology could move the cabins along the route without requiring an intensive supply of electricity.

The entire system would be interconnected, and AI would play a very important role in managing energy, the frequency of cabin passages, and travel speed.

Each user would have to use a mobile app to enter their travel needs, which would provide an estimated arrival time for their capsule as well as the expected arrival time at their destination.

I know this isn’t a completely futuristic idea, and it doesn’t involve burning trash in the “Flux Capacitor.” Hahaha
