As usual, over the last few weeks, I've been sharing a number of high-quality works with the dimensions of a 3-storey façade.
Today, I'm sharing another work by the famous Nark.Cpk. I posted about his work a while ago, here in this post.
His style is well known, but this time, and in this frankly more caustic work, he leaves no stone unturned on a subject that has disturbed him. The humanitarian catastrophe of the exodus of people from countries at war or with high levels of poverty.
Although I don't think this problem can be looked at in such a simplistic way, and by assigning a “culprit” for the whole tragedy, this artist suggests that former German Chancellor Angela Merkel is the “head” of a large octopus that uses refugees as a bargaining chip and political plaything.
The boats pile up at their feet, in this case, at their tentacles... And they appear empty of people...
His angelic appearance, wearing a sky blue dress and with a kind of aura, completes the artist's political critique.
As I've said before, although I don't like the simplification and the attribution of one person as the cause of so much suffering and death, the work certainly throws those who pass by it a challenge to leave some discomfort, when we look and certainly have a roof to sleep under at night.
How nice it would be if the world we live in wasn't so complex and there weren't so many disputes using human lives as bargaining chips...

Como tem vindo a ser habitual, e nestas ultimas semanas, tenho vindo a partilhar vários trabalhos, de grande qualidade, e com dimensões de uma fachada de 3 andares.
Hoje, deixo aqui mais um trabalho do famoso Nark.Cpk. Já tinha publicado sobre o seu trabalho há uns tempos atrás, aqui nesta publicação.
O seu estilo, bem notório, mas desta vez, e neste trabalho francamente mais cáustico, não deixa por mãos alheias um tema que o perturbou. A catástrofe humanitária do êxodo dos povos dos países em guerra, ou com elevados níveis de pobreza.
Apesar de eu achar que este problema não pode ser encarado de uma forma tão simplista, e atribuindo uma "culpada" de toda a tragédia, este artista lança a ideia que a antiga Chanceler alemã Angela Merkel é a "cabeça" de um polvo de grandes dimensões que usa os refugiados como moeda de troca e como joguete político.
Os barcos amontoam-se aos seus pés, neste caso, aos seus tentáculos... E aparecem vazios de gentes...
O seu ar angelical, com um vestido azul celeste, e com uma espécie de aura, acaba por completar a critica política do artista.
Tal como o disse anteriormente, apesar de não gostar da simplificação e da atribuição de uma pessoa como a causadora de tanto sofrimento e mortes, o trabalho lança seguramente quem por ele passa, um desafio de deixar algum desconforto, quando olhamos e temos certamente um teto para dormir na noite.
Como seria bom, se o Mundo em que vivemos não fosse tão complexo, e não houvesse tantas disputas, usando vidas humanas como moeda de troca...
