This drop is not an insult, but the truth. Nowadays people are not so active on the Steem blockchain. Steemit as a dApp is not an exception. When I post something with Steemit, I rarely receive human comments, so it is not so social. There are way better social dApps on the Steem blockchain. For example dPoll. But the number of the active users on the Steem blockchain is declining. There are more than 1.2 million Steem accounts, but nowadays less than 50 000 accounts are active daily.
And less and less. It was 50 000 a few monhs ago.
Nowadays it is around 40 000.
According to the last Steem Stats report by @penguinpablo (Daily Steem Stats Report - Friday, August 9, 2019), the number of daily accounts transacting is around 40 000 in the last 8 days.
